Project Closure

The penultimate step in the process (or, from the client’s perspective, the last step) is closure.

Closure is the stage at which:

• The product is formally handed to the client
• Project documentation is handed over
• Resources are released from the project (meaning they are free to work on a different project now)
• Supplier contracts may need terminating
• Communication that the project has closed to stakeholders
